A gift....

Each of us has a choice to make. Will we serve or will we seek for our own... The interesting thing is that serving is where the joy is...

I have been blessed to share this with you by a wonderful man from Texas who has the artist eye to capture the essence of this poem. Thank you Rick Copple (http://www.rlcopple.com/) for allowing me this gift.

There has always been a curious method to God's plan that seems to baffle some and fulfill others. I stand solidly among the baffled, proudly confirming that the Good Lord has always guided me home but His pathways are somewhat amazing to say the least.

I have been broken. It seemed to be the end of all good. I felt as if abandonment could not be avoided.

In faith ( and for this moment in time let's define faith as the dogged determination to follow the rules of the church) I have continued.

His gift has been revealed. I can affirm that He has always answered my prayers and allowed my infirmities to be gift I can offer for the solace of others.

Stooped, I proudly share my scars so others may feel the true beauty of a loving and a healing Lord.

May your journey always bring more that you could ever imagine.

Finally, Christians can put to use the principles of the 12 Steps to change their lives. The peace and happiness that others have found is now available for everyone.

I chose to write this book under a pen name of "Bill J." Anonymity is a spiritual principle that attempts to dull the ego while heightening our sense of community. It is not my words but the good they may bring someone in need. It has indeed brought me many moments of joy when the words I scratched out touched another and opened them to the will of our Lord.
